How to grow organic traffic to your website from day zero?

After taking the first step and launching a website for your business,you must be content that you are done with the design and development part and now you have a live website for your business. But where are the visitors? Launching a website for your business is only the first step of a long journey. To grow your business online, you need to start working on getting actual people to your website. Without any visitors, your website is as good as dead. Therefore here we are going to discuss about some of the major organic search strategies & tactics and how to get visitors from organic sources.

Organic traffic includes visitors coming to your website through search engines like Google, Bing etc. Research says that 92 percent of all search traffic share goes to page 1 results and traffic drops off by 95 percent for page 2.

Keyword strategy: Keyword research makes a foundation of your internet marketing as it is a strategic function and not just tactical. Having an aggressive/killer keyword strategy is the first step to get high organic traffic. This involves identifying keywords relevant for your business and landing pages with high search volume using Google keyword planner. You don't need to work on a large list of broad keywords but a limited set of specific long-tail keywords will work best for you.

Quality content: We have been saying that content is king for a long while as this is what users are looking for and Google also loves quality content. Website content,meta data, blog posts, press releases, infographics and all the offpage content associated with your business is included in content marketing.

Technical optimization: Get an SEO audit done to check the status of various technical parameters such as site speed, site map, robots.txt file etc. Optimization of all these technical parameters will have an immediate impact on the performance of your website.

Digital networking: Every little piece of online awareness about your website helps. Even if the awareness is linked to a person (most likely you!) or an event. The founder should strike up conversations, go for networking events, get invited for talks and discussion panels online and so on. Will people be willing to listen – there is only one way of finding out?

Customer testimonials: Ask your valued customers to write genuine reviews on your website and various other online forums. If you take good care of your customers, they would love to refer you as well.

Online influencers: High authority individuals which have influence over your potential customers/users can help you increase the reach of your brand (and might get you some natural inbound links as well). Organizing blogger's meetup or sending them sample products are some of the tactics used by brands to engage influencers. These efforts can bring some relevant referral traffic to your website apart from the other benefits.

Local business directories: Create local listings for your business which is nothing but an online profile that includes your business's name, address, phone number and other relevant details. The purpose of listing your business in reputed local directories is to increase business visibility in local search.
